For over 26 years, we’ve been serving the Chicago community, dedicated to providing hope and practical support to those in need. Our mission began with a vision to empower local communities through economic support and spiritual guidance, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, could experience hope, transformation, and the love of Christ.

A Legacy of Service

Though we began with multiple programs, from job training and educational services to addiction counseling and ESL programs, our focus today is on rebuilding and growing the heart of our outreach. Throughout the years, we’ve faced challenges and changes, but one thing remains constant—our commitment to supporting the most vulnerable among us.

Our Flagship Program: The Chicago Hope Food Pantry

The Chicago Hope Food Pantry, led by our dedicated leader, Maggie Jordan, continues to serve hundreds of families each week. What makes our pantry unique is our client-choice model: individuals and families are welcome to select the items they need, giving them dignity and control over their groceries. Covering six zip codes, our pantry is a trusted source of sustenance for many in the community, even those already receiving state assistance.

Partnered with the Chicago Food Depository, we receive and distribute a wide variety of fresh and non-perishable foods, ensuring that no one goes hungry. We also collaborate with local businesses and restaurants to provide additional fresh food items, reducing waste while enhancing our offerings.

Our Impact

Since the start of the year, the Chicago Hope Food Pantry has served over 1,718 households, impacting the lives of 3,638 individuals in our community. Despite our successes, we face challenges, including shortages of essential items and limited volunteer availability during key times. Your involvement can help us overcome these hurdles and serve even more families in need.

GET INVOLVED

The Food Pantry Program is a place of hope, healing, and community. It’s not just a nonprofit—it’s an extension of our church’s ministry and an opportunity for all of us to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. Through prayer, donations, or volunteering, you can help us bring hope to those in need.

Together, we can make a lasting difference. We invite you to join us in supporting our neighbors.

  • Your prayers for wisdom, guidance, and strength as we rebuild are invaluable. We pray that everyone who walks through our doors experiences the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

  • Financial donations help us purchase critical items like fresh produce, milk, and eggs for the Food Pantry Program. Consider making a one-time gift or setting up a recurring donation to support our pantry. We also welcome food donations to supplement our offerings.

  • Our dedicated volunteers are the backbone of our efforts. Whether you can help with heavy lifting during deliveries, assist in organizing and distributing food, or work behind the scenes to build partnerships with local businesses, your time and talents are crucial to our mission.
